The tire is excellent. The price and treadwear are quite bad. I would not replace with the same due to Michelin's offerings, Continentals other summer tires, and countless good summer tires for much less.

Nice tire for regular use can not be beaten in pricexperformance. Good buy for Civic Type R non summer seasons.

 Hankook Kinergy GT (H436)

These came stock with my Civic. I had replaced my old Protege 5 with BF Goodrich g-Force Comp2 A/S tires, which I loved. These Hankooks are good on dry roads. Quiet. Haven't shown much for wear after 6000 km. This is a good sign for their durability because they sure break traction a lot! Any time the road is wet they break loose upon even slightly hard acceleration from a stop. This happened from new, so it's nothing to do with wear. It rains a lot in Vancouver, so this won't do for me. Guaranteed to spin if i accelerate even 50% on a wet road, and all the time if I accelerate over any bumps. Braking seems to be OK, but I've only had to brake hard once, and I was following far enough behind that I didn't brake hard enough for the ABS to kick in. The car two cars back hit the one behind me, but it was a case of tailgating, not traction. They're quiet enough, and corner well on wet and dry roads. Haven't driven them too hard though. No chance to test on snow yet, but I never will. Going to switch them up for some BFG's. The Hankooks do break traction predictably, though, so there's that.

 Toyo Observe GSi-5

My wife's tires. Black and rubbery. Walnut shells seem to attract squirrels. All jokes aside. Actually I've driven about 325,000 highway 401 km on Toyo Observe winters and they are good. Never ditched it once.

 Hankook Kinergy GT (H436)

I bought my civic and these tires were coming OEM. I live in Montreal, Canada and there has been some serious snowstorms in the last few weeks. I was a bit scared at first because 4 seasons tires are not recommended/prohibited here during winter. Luckily since they came with the car and since the tire change date was 8 days away I had some slack on this rule (10days to change tires after buying a car). I absolutely love these tires. I've had Falkens before and the hankook reacts so much better! I have been having fun with my car and its partly because I realised quickly that I can trust these tires. Great in dry/wet conditions, super quiet, soft, but takes corners better than my sporty falkens. What can I say? Best tires I have experienced so far. Braking time is great... Then again, I am not the type to follow someone so close that it gets unconfortable for them to be in front of me, so when they do brake, theres reasonnable time to do so even if I have a heavy foot !
