Sears Auto recommended these tires in April 2017 mainly because of their 100,000 mile warranty. Well today we had to get new tires after just 46,861 miles. Ties were rotated, not quite after their recommended 7500 miles, but wore worst on current front two on inner edges and current rear in the center. Considering what we paid and the expectation that these would last, we are really disappointed with these tires. We are replacing them tomorrow and Hankook is off our list of possible vendors. All tings considered it appers that the 100,000 miles warranty was just a marketing ploy to get their name out and as usual we as a consumer get screwed.

My 2014 passat came with these on it and I couldn’t wait for them to wear down so I could swap them out. The noise level they produce is my biggest gripe with these. My car is very quite and doesn’t make any noises so the road noise these produced was all you could hear in the cabin I actually had to turn the music up loud enough to drown out the drone these produced. I just replaced these today at 38,000k miles it’s a 60,000k mile tire... my wife actually had one blow out on her today because the steal belt had become exposed, I was already planning to replace them within the week because they were at the wear maker. They handle decently on a dry road and they are okay on wet roads but are prone to hydroplaning during heavy down pours or standing water. They are terrible on ice. I replaced these with Firstone all season tire they updated it in 2017 and it’s a great tire so far much quieter then the Hankooks

NOT WORTH DYING FOR! bought four new Optimo tires for my GMC van and after only 9,000 miles tire blew out on the interstate for no reason and we could have been killed. Also I purchased them through Walmart, who wouldn't do anything about the warranty because they said the bought it through a distributor, so Hankook told me to go through Black's Tire, which, after three weeks of calls, they offered to sell me the same Hankook tire at the same price as it would be on the open market. WILL NEVER BUY HANKOOK TIRES AGAIN. They do not stand behind their tires, warranties or customers, and I am just praying I can get back on them and buy new ones. Service Manager at Walmart even said it looked like inner tube of tire blew up. Also, the warranty means NOTHING. The warranty is for 100,000 miles, but if you've had the tire for more than a year they will not stand behind it. Not worth the paper it's printed on. Possibly the only thing of less value than the tire itself.

*******HANKOOK OPTIMA TIRES ARE CHEAP JUNK********* These are the worst cheapest made tires weve ever bought.Hankook states its a 100000 mile treadwear warranty which is a total lie.We bought tires in April 2017 and installed them last year.Had them rotated and balanced regularly and as of October 2018 they are getting slick and are going to have to be replaced. We got only 25000 miles out of them and only drive car back and forth to work on paved roads.Warranty is a joke and states you must buy another similar Hankook tire. Why would anyone want to buy another set of cheap worthless tires. We will never buy another Hankook tire due to them lying about treadlife and crappy warranty.

DON'T BUY! TIRES EXPLODE!!! Purchased these tires a year ago. Tires were rotated every 5,000 miles. While traveling 60 mph on the freeway, the front driver's side tire exploded, which caused the car to go airborne. It landed on the center medium which then caused the driver's side back tire to explode. Again the car went airborne and threw me across 3 lanes of traffic. Rims are destroyed, along with alignment & I don't know what else. I am lucky to be alive.
