After reading a couple of negative reviews about this tire, I felt I should submit my own review on the Michelin MXM4. I have a 2006 VW Jetta 2.0T Sedan (Same engine and sport suspension as the GLI performance sedan), which has APR Stage 1 ecu-tuning installed since almost new. After a ton of research I chose the MXM4 and I have been completely happy with my choice. Wet and Dry handling is excellent. Ride Comfort is dramatically improved over my previous BFG tires. Road Noise was dramatically reduced as well. So-far the tires are wearing fine, nothing unexpected and I will get a few seasons more out of them. These tires are no-good in the snow and ice, but that was understood and expected when I purchased. I run winter tires on separate rims so my priority was a great summer tire. Overall I give the Michelin Primacy MXM4 two big thumbs up. 10/10 in my evaluation. I would buy these again and I recommend them to friends.

I rarely write reviews but I felt obligated to prevent other drivers from making the mistake of buying these tires. I'm 66 and have been dring since I was 16 so I've experienced my share of tires. These were recommended for cars like mine so I went for it. Everyone who complains about the drive on wet pavement is absolutely correct, If I didn't want to feel the road I would not be a BMW driver. Feeling the road is one thing but this was more like riding a roller coaster. The worst part of my experience was the tread wear. After only 12,000 miles my REAR tires were totally bald. No more Michelin for me - cheap or expensive!

The Pilot MXM4 tires came as OEM on my 2012 Dodge Challenger SXT (6-cylinder). At 42,000 miles they failed inspection. These tires were horrible in the rain. They easily lost traction on wet surfaces, even when brand new. Horrible tires. Just ordered replacement Cooper CS-5 Ultra Touring -- all the reviews indicate these tires are excellent on wet surfaces, handle well and are quiet.

These replaced the OEM ContiProContact tires on my 2013 Volvo front-drive S60 sedan. The old tires only had 17k on them, but one was damaged during a flat repair, and Discount Tire offered me two new tires plus $130 rebate on the remaining two...I couldn't resist. I have noticed the following: these tires ride more smoothly than the Continentals, seemingly better able to absorb bumps and holes. They are very slightly noisier, but that may be because I've only driven them about 1,500 miles. Dry performance is as good as or better than the Continentals, though the back-end of the car has just a bit more “lean” when cornering sharply (tires are at 36psi). It feels like the tires are a little more flexible laterally than the Continentals. I am not sure if it’s that, or if they’re losing adhesion with the road a little (though there’s not much weight back there in a front-drive small sedan). The front grips very well though. In my experience, wet performance is as good as or better than the Continentals. It is really quite good. Light snow performance (usually about all we get in El Paso) is surprisingly good. I'm not quite sure why a few others feel differently...perhaps things change as they wear. Luckily, I haven't had to try them out on ice. Overall, I am very pleased. Nice to see they'll wear longer than the OEM's too. Note: my vehicle came with higher load index Continental tires (97). Despite what my salesman wanted me to consider, I felt it important to replace them with similar-capacity tires, which I did.
