The latest in our line of environment-conscious tires, the Ecopia™ EP422™ is an all-season tire that delivers a smooth, comfortable ride. It is designed to improve rolling resistance, which helps it achieve better gas mileage. With its innovative tread compound and advanced traction technology, the tire is a strong, reliable performer on wet and dry surfaces all year long.

  • NANOPRO-TECH improves rolling resistance and contributes to fuel-efficiency and CO2 reduction by controlling the interaction between polymer, filler materials and other rubber chemicals at the molecular level.
  • FUEL SAVER SIDEWALL COMPOUND helps lower rolling resistance by both returning more energy back to the tire and reducing heat generation as compared to a traditional sidewall.
  • SILICA improves traction in wet conditions by increasing flexibility of tread compound.
  • RECYCLED GROUND RUBBER made from ground-up post-consumer tires, it contributes to 5% of the tread compound.
  • CIRCUMFERENTIAL GROOVES help channel water out of the footprint area to improve resistance to hydroplaning.

I've had good experiences with Bridgestone tires until this set. I bought 4 new tires at Costco, and they were rated at 65,000 miles. We rotated them and aligned the wheels every 5000 miles. We are cautious, reserved drivers that both have over 40 years experience driving cars. At about 35,000 miles, I noticed the outside edges of the front tires started getting bald, even though the back tires looked just fine. I took them in to get them rotated, but the Costco manager said that they would NOT rotate them because of uneven wear. He basically said that I would have to change out the 2 front tires, and I should just try to wear out the front tires as much as could. I have had good experiences with Costco Tires and with Bridgestone in the past; so, I think it is just this model of tire that is not good. My wife thinks the tires were pretty good as far as road noise since minivans sit up higher than sedans. I took the car to Firestone to check the alignment, but they said that the car alignment was still within specifications. They said that the Bridgestone Ecopia was installed on Honda Odyssey mini-vans before and wore out early too; he said they were NOT meant for my mini-van and should be used only for lighter hybrid vehicles. After reading all the previous reviews, I feel fortunate to get 42,000 miles out of them. The Costco Tire Center manager told me to NOT drive the car any long distances anymore and to change them out as soon as we can. He would NOT pro-rate them because he said that they were not worn evenly. He recommended that I go with Michelen tires instead of Bridgestone. He was nice enough to offer us free installation of 4 new Michelin tires at a discounted price to make up for the NON pro-rated amount that we are losing out on with the Bridgstones.

Nice enough tire in use, both in town and on highway but surprised at the short life (40,000km, 25,000mi) with generally gentle driving.

Tires came with new vehicle and completely worn out at 30000km. All highway driving. I will never get them again. Like driving on a Banana peel if not on dry pavement.

Have these crappy OEM tire on my CRV. At 22000 miles tires are already Bald. Bridgestone will not warranty them. They say the tires are to wear out quickly so they can sell more tires. A rep at Firestone store told me they sell these tires (no tread Warranty) to Manufactures for more then the plus model (70000 tread warranty). Sounds like BS to me. Will never buy Bridgestone again!!!!!!

I was told by the dealer this was a good tire as I have never bought them before. After these are done, I'll never buy them again. Nice ride on dry roads, but I live in Montana. The first rain I felt I was riding on top of everything thing. Forget snow!
