 Nexen Winguard Winspike

So far, so good for my Nexen Winguard Spike (no spikes installed). It's been a relatively heavy snow year in Alberta this year and these tires have performed well in almost all conditions. The only time they seem to falter a little is when the snow has been around for a while and taken on almost a sandy character after being pushed around by plows and piled into snow banks. Not sure anything really performs well in those conditions. I've been impressed with braking and handling - especially on packed snow. I have the same tires on a heavier vehicle (Kia Sorento) and the extra weight seems to make the difference in terms of really superior grip.

These tires are sticky in wet and snow conditions. The install guys were great too on Marine drive, excellent service, no wonder so many people buy tires from there.

 Continental WinterContact SI

9000+km over a tough Ottawa winter including 3800km trip to South Carolina at Interstate speeds. Super quiet and smooth for winter tires. Good fuel economy. Great handling and control in all conditions. 1/32 in of tread wear. If summer tread wear was good I would consider leaving them on all year. Yes, A/S tires are bit quieter and smoother, but these are very close.

Best winter tire so far! My last winter tire was the Bridgestone WS70 and I really dont like theses tires because they was to weak on curves. They where like jello. With this one, I've got the same feeling that with a summer tire.
